All classes listed below are held in the LIS Professional Development Lab which is located in the second floor of South College in rooms 212 & 214. This classroom has PC computers. Classes are open to students, faculty and support staff unless noted.
There is no need to sign up, first come first serve. All classes are one hour. When attending a class, please be sure you know your network password to log onto the computer. If you do not know your network password email helpdesk@dickinson.edu before class to get a new one. |

Microsoft Exchange Web Access 2007

The Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2007 is now on campus and will be covering tips how to use it during these workshops. We will go over looking up a users email account, then creating an email and adding an attachment. Learn how to create a new folder and understanding the folder structure. We will cover meetings and appointments in the calendar. Learn how to invite someone to a meeting using the calendar and see if they are available. This can easily be accessed through the home page or the Gateway and we will go over each login. Introduction to Office 2007

Did you miss the Introduction to Office 2007 Workshops when you office was converted? If so, come to this one hour workshop to learn some basic functions and features of using the newest version of Office 2007. We will cover learning to save as a lower version, save as a pdf, the Ribbon and how to customize the Quick Access toolbar, Math on Demand in Excel, 3-D, Themes and the Office Button. Macromedia Dreamweaver or Contribute
Departmental Web Page Open Workshop
June 9th - 10am till 11am
This workshop will be open to any one that needs to work on their departmental web pages. Bring your questions, problems and web pages to be updated to this open workshop.
Remote Desktop Connection:
Remote desktop can be used during this class if you prefer. Please contact the helpdesk by email so that you can remote into your computer for this class if you have never been set up for this function before. You will also need to know your office computer name , have your office computer powered on and be logged into the computer. This will not work if you share computers and someone else is using the machine during class time. Be sure to know your publishing password to be able to publish your pages. If you are not sure what password this is email the helpdesk to get a new password for publishing. The remote feature will not work with Mac computers. Click here for a tutorial. |
