Remote Controls for Equipment
Sanyo Projector Samsung DVD/VCR Sound Control

To Turn on the Video Projector:
Find the remote for the Sanyo projector (see image above). To turn the projector on, point the remote at the front of the projector and push the pink "On-Off" button. Do not adjust the sound volume on the projector remote; use the sound system control (see below). Use the "Computer" or "Video" buttons on the remote to select your projection source. To turn the projector off, push the pink "On-Off" button on the remote. At the "Power off?" prompt, press the pink "On-Off" button again.  The projector fan will continue to run until the unit is cooled down; it will shut down automatically.

To Turn on & View the Computer:
To use the computer, you will need to press the power button on the computer. Once the computer has completely booted-up, you can access programs like PowerPoint, Word, and Internet Explorer by clicking the icons on the screen. To project the computer screen, with the projector on, press the "Computer" button on the Sanyo remote to select "Computer 1"

To view a laptop
Connect the VGA cable located in the "well" on the left side of the podium top to the laptop VGA jack. If using sound, connect the "mini" sound plug provided to the laptop headphone jack. With the projector ON, press the "computer" button on the Sanyo remote to select "Computer 2".You may need to press a function key on your laptop to enable the external monitor function (may be marked "LCD/CRT" or with a monitor icon).
  Please note: if using the network cable provided, be aware that it must be configured for the building network. Contact the helpdesk in advance for help with network settings.

To Play & View a DVD, Videotape, or CD:
Find the remote for the Samsung combination CD/DVD/VCR unit. To turn the combination unit on, press the red "Power" button on the remote. With the data projector on, press the "video" button on the Sanyo remote. If a TV channel is showing, you can eliminate it by selecting "line 2" input (located below channel 2 - use the channel down button). Insert your CD, DVD, or cassette into the appropriate drawer or slot and press the "Play" button. To eject your disc or cassette, press the "Open/Close" button. Turn the unit off by pressing the "Power" button.

To View Campus Cable TV:
Find the remote for the Samsung combination CD/DVD/VCR unit. To turn the combination unit on, press the red "Power" button on the remote. With the data projector on, press the "video" button on the Sanyo remote. On the Samsung remote, press the "VCR" button. You can change channels by using the channel ("CH") up and down buttons or by using the keypad to enter the channel number. Turn the unit off by pressing the "Power" button.

To Control the Sound Level:
You can control the sound for either the computer or the CD/DVD/VCR unit using the room's sound system. The sound system controller (see image above) is attached to the desktop. Be aware. The volume controls on the computer interact with those of the sound system, so adjusting the volume on the computer will change the level of sound from the sound system as well

Please, turn off all of the equipment before you leave the room.
