To Project the Computer, TV, a DVD, or a VHS Cassette:
Take the lens cap off of the front of the projector. Now, press the "Power" button, circled in green, on top of the projector (see image above). To project the computer or the VCR, press the "Menu" button and use the left and right "Adjust" buttons to select "Setup" from the menu. Then, use the "Next" button to cycle downward through the setup options stopping on "Source." Use the "Adjust" buttons again to select between computer and video. Once you have made your choice, press the "Enter" button. You can adjust the volume using the cart's sound system (see instructions below). To turn the projector off, press the "Power" button twice and replace the lens cap.

To Use the Computer:
To use the computer, you will need to press the power button on either the computer or on the keyboard. Once the computer has completely booted-up, you can access programs like PowerPoint, Word, and Internet Explorer by clicking the icons on the screen. To project the computer, press the "Menu" button and use the left and right "Adjust" buttons to select "Setup" from the menu. Then, use the "Next" button to cycle downward through the setup options stopping on "Source." Use the "Adjust" buttons again to select "Computer." Once you have made your choice, press the "Enter" button. You can adjust the volume using the cart's sound system (see instructions below). When you are done with the computer, shut it down by selecting "Shut down" from the "Special" drop-down menu at the top of the screen. If you need to use a different computer with the projector, please contact Library & Information Services (x1000) for assistance.

To Play a CD or a DVD:
You can play CD's and DVD's through the computer on the cart. Simply insert your disk into the slot on the front of the computer. The appropriate software should start automatically, although you may need to wait 10-20 seconds for it to begin. To project a DVD, press the "Menu" button and use the left and right "Adjust" buttons to select "Setup" from the menu. Then, use the "Next" button to cycle downward through the setup options stopping on "Source." Use the "Adjust" buttons again to select "Computer." Once you have made your choice, press the "Enter" button. You can adjust the volume using the cart's sound system (see instructions below). When you are done playing your CD or DVD, you can eject it by dragging the CD icon on the desktop to the trashcan icon and releasing the mouse button. Your disk should be automatically ejected.

To View a Videocassette:
Find the remote for the Panasonic VCR. To turn the VCR on, press the "Power" button on the remote. With the data projector on, press the "Menu" button and use the left and right "Adjust" buttons to select "Setup" from the menu. Then, use the "Next" button to cycle downward through the setup options stopping on "Source." Use the "Adjust" buttons again to select "Video." Once you have made your choice, press the "Enter" button. You can adjust the volume using the cart's sound system (see instructions below). You can eject your videocassette using the "Eject" button on the VCR. Turn the VCR off by pressing the "Power" button.

To Control the Sound Level:
You can control the sound for either the computer or the VCR using the cart's sound system. The sound system controls (see image above) are on the front of one of the speakers. Press the "Power" button to turn the speakers on. You can adjust the volume and balance by turning the appropriate knobs on the same speaker. To turn the speakers off, simply press the "Power" button again.

Please, turn off all of the equipment before you leave the room.
