- The Dickinson Electronic Initiative in the Liberal Arts (DEILA):
- Created as a faculty driven initiative, DEILA provides an umbrella organization for scholarly digital projects at Dickinson College. DEILA serves as a clearinghouse for faculty projects, connects faculty interested in digital projects with relevant individuals and technologies and encourages the adoption of pertinent technical standards. DEILA has an office in the Information Commons used by its director to conduct meetings and to act as a home for faculty engaged in this work.
- Digital Commons@Dickinson:
- The Digital Commons is a collection of scholarly materials drawn from participating National Institute for Technology and Liberal Education (NITLE) member institutions. Launched in July 2004 by founding participants Carleton College, Dickinson College, Middlebury College, and Trinity University, Digital Commons contains a wealth of intellectual output by affiliated faculty, staff, and students.
The Digital Commons@Dickinson provides an opportunity for Dickinson students to not only archive their work in a digital format, but to showcase it. Placement of honors theses, research papers, and other significant student work in the Digital Commons allows students to make their research available via the World Wide Web.
