Archives and Special Collections
The purpose of the Archives and Special Collections is to carefully preserve and make available to researchers various materials of a unique and valuable nature which require special care and handling. The department also serves as the primary archival repository for the official records of the college. The Archives and Special Collections Department is thereby responsible for maintaining the institutional memory of the entire Dickinson community, and for ensuring that these items are preserved, organized, displayed, and made available in a professional, scholarly manner.
The spacious layout of the May Morris Reading Room offers researchers a comfortable and appealing atmosphere in which to work. The unique, valuable, and often fragile nature of the material demands that all of our researchers adhere to our "Rules and Regulations." The May Morris Room staff reserves the right to refuse service to any individuals who fail to comply with these rules.
